Hate Crimes Legislation: Dems Set to Punish People for What They Believe

House Judiciary Committee ready to vote on HR254 establishing ‘hate’ crimes legislation.

According to Liberty Counsel founder, Matt Staver:
"Christians and pro-family activists ought to be concerned about this hate crimes legislation because, if it is passed, it will certainly restrict free speech," he contends…I think we need to understand that this doesn't apply to just violent crimes. It applies to what would be considered intimidation or threats of intimidation, and oftentimes that is in the eye of the beholder."

Members of the House Judiciary Committee need to hear from concerned Americans this week. A party-line committee vote is anticipated, with Democrats voting for the hate-crimes legislation and Republicans voting against.

If your representative is on the judiciary committee, please contact them and urge them to vote against HR 254 today. For the list of Judiciary Committee members and contact information click HERE.
